In 1998 Jared traveled with his youth group, RLDS Northwest Oregon Caravan, to church branches in Oregon, Idaho and Washington. His poem was printed in the program A Psalm of Praise for My Lord and Master  Oh! I will shout my praises to my God I will call them out in my loudest voice, for my God is worthy of my praise. He has given me my life, and has provided nature for my enjoyment. I will cry alleluia for him, for he is wonderful.
He is my counselor, my father, my God, my friend. He is there when I call him-and when I do not. Through thick and thin, rich and poor. Sick and healthy, happy and sad. He is the one who will stay faithful forever, As long as I do the same. His forgiveness is given freely As is his Love. Oh! I will shout my praises to my God. For he is wonderful by Jared Musgrove
