Us old timers remember Burma-Shave road signs.  If you're too young to remember or so old you've forgotten, just make one up.  Please add only one per message, but you can add a message whenever you think of another one.  Let's see how long we can make this thread.  Here's one of my favorites:

Aunt Wilma

Dear Family, I wanted to let everyone know, that my mom had surgery on Tuesday, and went home today.  She is now ready to start chemo and radiation on Monday.   She has a lot of difficulties swallowing, so good nutrition will be a challenge.  Thanks for your prayers and well wishes. Jaime

We had short tidbits of conversation just as if you were actually sitting on our front porch.  We enjoyed ourselves, sitting there rocking back & forth, drinking our coffee , waiting for the others to join us.
