This is an touching story about a twelve year old girl and her younger brother who, after a car accident, go to live with their invalid mother on their great-grandmother's farm in the Virginia mountains. Their adventures are tragic and comic. I couldn't put the book down. I'm going to keep it on the shelf with my classics.
