Happy Mother's Day!

Hi, hope you all have a great Mother's Day.  I wish my Mother were still here so I could give her a BIG hug.  As I get older I really can appreciate what she did for our family. Hope everyone's well.  We're enjoying Spring weather on this old farm. New kittens, baby birds, the colorful hummingbirds are back and the lilacs & tulips are beautiful. The fields are so green!  Please let us hear from you.  Leslie

  1. Things are not going as well as we had hoped with the new business.
Spring is beautiful with the blossoms on all bushes and cacti, just beautiful,
but it is also very dry and dusty.  After such a wet winter it is amazing
to see the blooms and the new cactus growth.  We have a orchid tree close
and there are several trees that to us look like lilac trees.  Have a GOOD
mother's one and all.  Love Darlene

  2. I wish I had my mom back to give her a big hug. Hope everyone's having a nice Spring. The hummingbirds are back to our humingbird feeder along with some baby housefinch at the finch feeders. The babies sit on the feeder & chirp for their daddy to feed them, & he does. The goldfinch are bright yellow. All our lilacs & tulips are up and Boyd's mowed our lawn twice already. I can't help thinking of Lonnie as he would have been 47 on friday. Talked to Thelma last week & she's doing well. Walks with a cane or walker & is trying to use both hands to help Wayne with the cooking, but she tires easily.
Wishing everyone a great summer, Leslie

  3. Sorry to be sending you so many mother's day messages, but I want you to know I'm not going crazy in my old age. I sent a message that got lost in space so the next day I wrote another one. I should have known the first one would show up. I wonder if the card attachment I sent with it will show up another day?  Leslie

  4. It's a beautiful spring day for Mothers day.  A bit cool, but not as wet as the days leading up to today.  Mom and Dad are in town this week so we have 30 people heading over here for a BBQ in a couple hours.  I just got a phone call from my son Greg, who moved from London to Denmark earlier this week to be with his wife. It was great to hear from him.  I will probably hear from my other two sons later this afternoon, as they typically make their calls in the early evening.  . It's going to be a great day.
