Aunt Wilma

Dear Family, I wanted to let everyone know, that my mom had surgery on Tuesday, and went home today.  She is now ready to start chemo and radiation on Monday.   She has a lot of difficulties swallowing, so good nutrition will be a challenge.  Thanks for your prayers and well wishes. Jaime

Front Porch

2009:

Below is a message board thread that we used in 2002-2004. Please don't add to it

anymore. Please reply to another of our messages or make a new one by going to the

bottom of our Home page, to our "Blog/Message Board" box, or use the "+ Post" button

at the top of our pages. Thanks,   Leslie

2002:

Hi Family, please relive our visits on our front porch.  I copied your replies to our "Front Porch"

page, and deleted them here.  Go to the bottom of our Home page for a link to our  Front

Porch conversations, or click here.

We had short tidbits of conversation just as if you were actually sitting on our front porch.  We enjoyed ourselves, sitting there rocking back & forth, drinking our coffee , waiting for the others to join us.

[Also go to the bottom of this thread for some comments that didn't get onto "Our Front Porch", sorry.]

Welcome Jaime

Welcome new member Jaime.  We look forward to your input.  If you'd
like you could place a link to Jared and Rachel's webpage on on "Our Web
Sites" link page or e-mail it to me & I'll add it.  We'd love to see it, I can't believe how they've grown. Your many talents are being passed on to your children.
It's bitter sweet to hear all the great things your family is doing and then to hear
that your mom is ill.  Our hearts are saddened but we know she's a strong person
and will win her battle.  Of course our thoughts and prayers will be with her.
God bless,    Leslie

family update

I have meant to join the website for a long time.  I have checked from time to time and really enjoy it.  To update you, I am still living in Oregon City, Jared is now a sophomore at Graceland University, majoring in English Lit. and secondary education.  He has a strong interest in drama also, and a music scholarship.  He sings in the concert choir and really loves school.  Rachel is 11 and in the fifth grade.  She loves to play the piano,  play basketball, write stories and poems and is treasurer of her school.  Terry is still producing videos for the county.  He and Rachel have a webpage with some of their artwork and photos.  I am the assoc. director of nursing at Oregon State Hospital by trade, and the pianist at church and avid gardener  amongst other things for fun.  I would love to hear from family members. Thanks again for a great web page.

Welcome New Member

Welcome to new member Vernie!  Vernie is connected to our Allen family through

the Winegar family. Our Conrad Allen's half brother Lewis Rial Allen married Lois

Emeline Winegar. The Winegars were Utah pioneers like our Allens.

Some new pages are on our "Family Fun".  Take a look.  More pages to be added

soon. We need our members to be more active and add to our pages, photos albums

[pictures] and message board or we will lose our website. My brain is getting stressed

trying to keep our pages interesting. I need help, new ideas and new members.

Evan, who was on our prayer list is up and cruising again. He is the sole caretaker

of his wife Betty, so prayers for them are still appreciated. If you know of anyone

who needs our prayers please leave a message on the prayer thread on our

Message Board.

We wish all our family a HAPPY EASTER.  Spring will soon be here!  Happy Birthday

to those born in March.   Best Wishes to you all,   Leslie
