Hi everyone!
I hope everyone is doing well. I haven't been able to put anything on this site because I lost my old computer over eight months ago, and just recently found a good deal on a new one. Hopefully this one will last a long long time. I have kept all of you in my prayers always. I finally set up my family photo album if you all want to look at it. My son Bryan got married August 3rd, 2001, and I have yet to get any pictures of the two of them, other than on a video tape, so as soon as I get some I will also publish those in our photo album. No, no grandkids as of yet though. The first picture in our album is of my son Chris, and his girlfriend Kelsey at their Valentines dance at school. Since I was last here to the site, Chris turned 18 in October, and is a senior in high school now. He will graduate on June 11th, and wants to go on to become a teacher. This year he has had a kindergarten class that he has been working with -- sort of a head start thing they have at the high school. He is so proud because he has a framed picture of his students hung in his bedroom. He wants to teach 6th grade when he gets out of college. At last counting I have 14 fuzzy kids (kitties), and 2 fuzzy other kids (dogs), and one beta fish named Sherman. As far as the cats go, I am running a senior citizens home for most of them now. I am getting excited at the prospects of an empty nest, and finding fun things to do for myself for once in 29 years. I am trying all kinds of crafts as I feel up to it. I call my craft room my fun room. I have made some really pretty wreaths, and bows that I have given away to friends, and family as gifts, and boy was that fun to do. I etched some glass the other day too, and it actually turned out pretty good. Who knows what I will try next. I am also trying to search out cousin Jeff Mikesell through the Internet because he sent a bunch of us Christmas cards, and put the wrong return address on his cards, so everyone that a bunch of us sent to him came back to us. If anyone knows his real address please let me know. If I found out I will post it -- it may take a while to find his address though. We sure have had the greatest winter we have ever had. We hardly had any snow, and it has been so enjoyable to sit outside on my porch, in the sun. Aunt Leslie and I might split a table at some craft shows this next year, so we can each show our crafts together. At this writing I have about five big wreaths, and about 50 bows so far to sell. Both of these are very unusual as no one has ever seen the kind I make before. I may have to take some pictures, and put them on the web site also (no not all the bows). Hey if any of you out there need a home makeover, go to ABC.com, and apply to get one. I sent my application in last spring in hopes that I can get on ABC's Extreme Makeover Home Edition. I am having a harder, and harder time negotiating the stairs in my house because of my severe fibro myalgia, and other problems. My house is not at all very arthritis friendly either. Need lots of stuff done here that I can't do. Please pray that I get this much needed makeover. If anyone wants to (that really knows me) I would surely appreciate it, if anyone would like to get the address of ABC.com's Makeover address (where you send an application), and maybe send a letter on my behalf. If you can't, prayers will also help so very much. If you all haven't seen the show on Sunday nights on ABC at 8:00pm they are really good shows. This one, and the new one they have on Monday nights at 8:00 pm same channel (How'd They Do That), is kind of a continuation of the one on Sunday nights. These are my two most favorite shows, and I don't miss them for anything. I better end for now, as I want to call my son Bryan in California before it gets too late. Take care everyone, and I will write again when I have more news. I hope everyone else starts writing a lot too. Take care, and you are all in my thoughts, and prayers daily.
Love,
Nutty Bev
